Let's Go for a Walk

Connor has been taking me outside for walks each day (that was BEFORE spring decided it wasn't ready to smother us with sunshine anymore...we miss you Mr. Golden sun!!!) We quickly found a routine of 'must do' things on each of our daily walks...here is what we do...

We go and get the mail and then Connor runs ahead of me up the drive way...for an 18month old he is FAST... We visit & feed the cows...because Grandpa doesn't want them to go hungry ;)

Connor is quickly learning that playing on haybales can be lots of fun!!

He loves to sit on this old lawn mower. He presses buttons, pushes levers and turns the steering wheel like a pro!

Oh yeah...and when the moon is visible in the sky, Connor is sure to point it out!!

He always stops and then crawls around to look for bugs outside Grandpa & Grandma's door.

And then stops again to admire the moon...he just loves the moon!!

He pushes this shovel around for a little while...I hope he remembers how to use it when he is 10 & Daddy needs help outside ;)

Next we wander off to check out the tires on trailers, tractors & other farm equipment. Right now he calls everything a truck, so as he stands there spinning this wheel he constantly tells me, "Truck...truck....truck...."

And let's not forget that my sweet little guy is a very patriotic child...we MUST stop and check out the flag.

There we go...found a bug just floating in the water!

I remember yelling into this giant tank as a child...you can hear your voice echo & is it super duper cool :) He stood there and said "Hi!! Hi!?!" for quite a while.

To top off the walk we end with a visit with Mama Kitty. Connor is a big fan and thankfully she is such a nice cat, she puts up with some rough squeezes & tail pulling. I guess she gets him back when she knocks him over while rubbing against his legs.

Today he would just be knocked over from the cold winds whirling around the farm...come back spring...we NEED you!!
