Connor had a virus over the weekend which resulted in a fever that lasted 2 1/2 days & a couple of nights with some very interupted sleep. By the time we arrived back home on Sunday night we had one very sensitive & overly tired child on our hands. Thankfully we were well stocked with Tylenol & Ibuprofen so Connor didn't miss out on any playing with his cousins *whew!* but it was good to get him home and have him sleep through the night on Sunday.
Monday morning rolled around and his temp was down below 100 (hooray!) but he was still a little 'off' and even woke up during his nap that morning. After much back & forth (in my head) I made an appointment for him to see the doc late that afternoon. We were in and out of the clinic within 15 minutes...a virus was to blame for our poor, sick, child...and we all know there is nothing that can be done for a virus.
Here is my little bundle, fast asleep on the couch. After waking up at 7 AM this morning he must've decided he was still a little tired so he fell asleep in my arms at about 7:05 AM and stayed like this until about 8:15 AM.
Yes...the poor kid broke out in a rash from the virus and yes...that is MY baby blanket draped over him...don't judge ;) I borrow it to him sometimes when I know he needs a tried and true blankie to snuggle him up.
